The goal of this march is simple:
to end rape culture.
What is Rape Culture?
Rape culture might seem like a big challenge to take on; that’s because it is. Rape culture is defined as a society or culture that perpetuates and accepts sexual violence in all forms. It is one that has permeated our society and it is preventable if we are willing to talk about it.
How do we do it?
The aims of NMARC are to re-open a dialogue via our social media campaign to kick off Sexual Assault Awareness Month, let survivors know that they are not alone and to have media figures and politicians understand that our movement did not end with #metoo or #timesup. We are here to stay.
